This book is written trough the eyes of Katniss. We get to know the world trough her toughts and feelings. For example the first line of the book: "When I wake up, the other side of the bed is cold." Use of the words we, us, I and me indicate a  first person perspective. By use of this perspective you get really close to the character. You also get to know the character allot better and you really start to feel connected to Katniss. This is one of the reasons why this book is so great. You really start to feel for the main character. So we don`t blame you if your eyes start to water while reading this book. This advantage is very well used. And you will love it if you love a great book.
